August was a big month for Tournated, with several important releases that boosted performance, flexibility, and usability for federations, clubs, and athletes.
What’s New
- Performance boost — At the end of May, we supported a 350+ player event in Paris. The first day exposed major performance bottlenecks, but it became a turning point. Over the past three months, we restructured the system architecture: merging tables, optimizing queries, streamlining backend logic, and redesigning UI/UX elements based on feedback. The platform now runs noticeably smoother and faster across all modules.
- Registration without partner (Doubles) — A top request from pickleball organizers and facilities. Players can now register without a partner, pay individually, and secure a spot. They can later connect with a partner before the entry deadline, while organizers can auto-generate pairs (randomly or by rankings) or assign them manually.
- Manager UI/UX refresh — A redesigned interface for organizers with more intuitive navigation and simplified workflows, making event management faster and easier.
- Play for each place format — Debuted at the largest padel tournament in Lithuania, WES Jūros šventės padelio čempionatas 2025 (317 participants). This format guarantees more match play for all players. For example, in a 32-player draw, every participant gets at least five matches.
- Multi-venue support — Organizers can now run events across multiple venues, connect courts, and filter them in the order of play (including TV screen displays).
- YouTube livestream integration — Stream matches directly into Tournated events for real-time coverage.
- World Padel Rating (WPR) integration — Fully live. Organizers can require WPR accounts for entries, results sync automatically, and ratings update instantly with one click. Players can also log in to Tournated using their WPR accounts, making adoption seamless for federations.
- Tournament approval flow — Circuits/Leagues can now require new tournaments created by organizers to be approved by league/circuit managers before going public.
- Landing pages CMS — Federations can now manage their websites directly on Tournated. Instead of submitting change requests, they have full CMS control to create pages, update content, and manage their digital presence.
